Spotlight on Helena de Natalio:
Helen Hoppock joined the Peace Corps in 2003 and moved to Natalio, Paraguay. Here she befriended the town’s seamstress who helped her polish her skills and experiment with different fabrics and patterns. Inspired by this experience she explored market places for leathers and textiles that captured the charisma of South America. In 2005 she moved to Buenos Aires to begin her own line of accessories. She has teamed up with local Argentine artisans to create accessories with a distinctive Latin charm and unmistakable elegance and craftsmanship. The designer personally overseas production and guarantees that each bag is made by an artisan who is paid fair wages and receives benefits in a healthy work environment.
